When Do Walmart Benefits Start?
If you work full-time as an hourly employee, you can sign up for benefits after receiving your first paycheck, and you’ll have around two months to do so.
You can apply for benefits at any point between the date of your first paycheck and the first day of the calendar month following your 89th day of employment.
For instance, you were employed on May 11th. August 7th will be your 89th day of work. As a result, you can enroll anytime between May 11th and August 1st. The first day of August will be your effective date or the day you become eligible for benefits. Details about each plan are listed below.
Note that you will may pay higher rates for medical, optional associate life insurances, spouse/partner life insurance, and critical illness insurance if you smoke tobacco and don’t agree to finish a quit program.
